China's first mountain high-speed railway: Guiyang Guangzhou high-speed railway officially opened for operation

On December 26, at Guangzhou south railway station, the first train d3602 of Guangzhou Nanning railway slowly pulled out of the platform. On that day, Guiyang Guangzhou railway and Nanning Guangzhou railway, two important high-speed rail lines connecting Guangdong, Guizhou and Guangxi provinces in China, were opened and operated at the same time. The fastest operation time from Guangzhou to Guiyang and Nanning is 4 hours and 09 minutes and 3 hours and 19 minutes respectively, which is more than 16 hours and 11 hours shorter than the current railway operation time respectively.

“贵广高铁沿途的风景秀美,贵广高铁的开通,将让沿线的三省多个旅游地升温。”赵开良认为,高铁的便捷和实惠,以及贵州和广州两省在城市风貌、自然人文风光方面的差异是贵广高铁旅游产品受到市民欢迎的主要原因。


贵广线途径贵州、广西、广东三省(区),惠及约2亿人。票价方面,贵阳北到广州南的二等座票价是266.5元(人民币,下同)、一等座票价是320元。而受高铁开通影响,贵阳到广州的机票也是大幅跳水,元旦当天最低票价已降到了100元左右。


贵广高铁穿越喀斯特地区,河流和高峡深谷以及建筑密集的闹市区,几乎每一公里就有一座桥梁或隧道,这条线路历时6年才建成。如果从空中俯瞰,列车在贵州境内平均一分钟就要跨过一座桥,穿越一个隧道。在贵州境内的三都站,桥隧比甚至达到了100%。因此,贵广高铁又被形象的比喻为“贴地飞行的超级过山车”,建设难度之高更被专家誉为“超级铁路”。


全长857公里的贵广高铁,贵州境内301公里,设有贵阳北、贵阳、龙里北、贵定县、都匀东、榕江、从江8个车站。项目于2008年开工建设,设计时速250公里,基础设施预留提速条件。


业内人士认为,贵广高铁不仅缩短了贵州与广东的时空距离,也奠定了贵阳西南高铁枢纽的地位,成为西南便捷的出海通道,将来连接黔渝、兰渝、兰新铁路,将整个西部引向珠三角、港澳地区。
